I finally sent the email off to the staff at Monte Vista to secure the date of July 12th, 2008 as a time to meet on campus and revisit the good old days. Time to relive the past, friends! Let's see what the place looks like now, how many of your old teachers are still involved there, and how much weight your friends have gained since you last saw them.
So set aside this weekend:
July 11th, 12th, and 13th.
The idea is that you'll join us for a dinner at a place to be determined on Friday the 11th. The next day we'll meet at Monte Vista for a picnic of some sort -- we're still figuring this out -- and Sunday well, you may need that to get back to Nashville.
I've posted a link to facebook on the right, which you can use to join the group. We'll use that to communicate to each other as well as this. Hopefully you will call your old friends and let them know if they are not connected to the internet (if that's possible -- you're not 40!).
Until later,
Matt Smith

Matt,
Thanks for taking this over.
We'll be there.
Need help, let us know.

I understand you guys are celebrating the big 20 and that is great – Congratulations. I would love to catch up with some of you guys so when you get a chance hit me with an email and fill me in on a little of what has happened with you in the past 20 years. My wife and I are down in San Diego – I am still teaching and still loving it. Kelle our daughter has been married 10 years and she and her husband are up in Boise, Idaho. She is the assistant coach to the women’s volleyball team at Boise State University; her husband teaches and coaches at a Christian school in Boise. Kipp our son, has been married for 4 years and they gave us a grandson 8 months ago. His wife teaches and Kipp runs the recreation and special events for the city of Elisa Viejo, CA. They are about ½ hour away. That is it in a nutshell.
Love you guys,
Coach
Look at that, Coach Lyons! What a nice surprise. Maybe you can make an appearance...I will grow a mullet so you can tell me to cut it! (If I ever do grow a mullet, this is a public appeal to have it forcibly removed by any takers with scissors.)
